The City Dialogue Project is a multidisciplinary poster project that explores human behaviour in the public space. It’s based on a three-sided poster panel, with participatory posters. The design concept introduces a timeline of Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, in the past, present, and future.
The past was designed with photos donated by the Museum of Modern and Contemporary History of Slovenia. The poster is equipped with postcards, showcasing Ljubljana, through the 20th century and it’s development, which passers-by can remove, keep, or send, as a memory from the past.
The present is shown with a coloring image, which encourages the viewer to color it. Since Ljubljana is a diverse, welcoming city that eveyone experiences differently, every individual can color a part of it, their own way.
The future is filled with blank pages, awaiting recommendations, wishes, visions, and love notes from the people to the city.
The visual image consists of a color palette, font, and logo, with multiple variations. The logo is composed of an icon, which symbolises two chat bubbles - a green message from the city and a blue answer from the people. The icon is centered within the text across all logo iterations.
